Music Video Analysis

I like this music video because it is very unique, not the average type of pop music video you would see everyday. For example, the costume, setting and location are the key factors that make this video more eye catching to the viewers and would want them to continue watching it.

Costume: 
The reflected images on her face, The glitter, mini lights, White dress.
Even though it might be common to see these things in other music videos, this video uses these props in a particular way that intrigued me and cause me to carry on watching. The narrative of the video is something out of the norm, something abstract; Even though it is not something you would see on a daily basis it is still very interesting because it is unique and clever. I think the idea behind the music video is really good and unique.

Location:
Forest, Room.
There are only two locations in this music video and because of this they had to make the scenery very interesting. If they hadn't tried to make the video as interesting as it is with only two locations the video would have been absolutely boring, reason for this is because the video would only switch between two locations which would eventually bore the viewers.



Setting:
Mini Lights, projected images, Black background, dim lights
All of these things make the video interesting, for example the dim light. The dim light is used when she is on the floor looking up and when she is in the small room, I think that the dim light brings out the focus in her more, showing that she is the center of attention, because the dim light is focused on her it makes the background very dark giving the scene an eerie type of feeling.
