Comparing Digipaks
The first one was a digipak that I done last year, Looking back at there are a lot of things that i could have done better.
Barcode- The barcode should not be size, the barcode is to large i should have made it smaller.
Company Logo- The company logo should be at the bottom not in between the CD writing and the producers
Picture - Even though the artist is in the middle she isn't large enough to have all of the focus on her, the photo is taken up by the blue sheet, i should have enlarged her face more.
Back page- the back page is very plain, i could have at least put another picture of her up or i could have added colour to it.
The bottom digipak is the most recent one, i think that this one is far more better than the first one.
The picture is the right size, The barcode is also the right and the digipak does not look plain unlike the first one.
My second digipak is better than my fist one because i done more research into it. I looked at artists with the same genre and looked into the conventions of a digipak, i also looked at previous students work and improved it with the feedback given.
Doing this helped me a lot, without all of the research that i done my digipak would have been similar to my first one and i would have received low marks. I also think my knowledge of photoshop has improved as well, for the first one i didn't know how to use photoshop so i made my digipak very simple so that i didn't have to struggle with it, this year my photoshop skills has improved and this has helped me to use different type of tools and techniques in my recent digipak.
